Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, preferred language and target exam, provided by you or by Google when you sign in with Google.
• Usage data: tests started and submitted, answers, time per question, scores, ranks and bookmarks.
• Payment data: plan purchased, amount, currency, order and payment identifiers and payment status. Card and UPI details are handled entirely by our payment gateway and never reach our servers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and error logs, used for security and debugging.

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To run tests, grade attempts, compute ranks and percentiles, and show solutions and analysis.
• To process payments and activate or extend your Pass.
• To send transactional email such as one-time sign-in codes and purchase confirmations.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. Legal basis and consent

We process your data to perform the service you asked for, to comply with Indian law including tax and accounting rules, and on the basis of your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account.

4. Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with: our cloud database and authentication provider (hosting your account and attempt records), Razorpay (payment processing), and our transactional email provider. Each is bound by its own security and privacy obligations.

5. Security

• All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
• Row-level security in the database means one user can never read another user's attempts, answers or payments.
• Answer keys and solutions are withheld by the server until an attempt is submitted.
• Payment fulfilment is verified with a signed webhook from the gateway; the browser can never grant itself a Pass.

6. Retention

Account and attempt data is kept while your account is active. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. On account deletion we remove your profile, attempts and bookmarks, and retain only anonymised or legally mandated records.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, and request a copy of it, by writing to support@mentorji.live. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The service is intended for candidates eligible for government recruitment exams. Users under 18 should use it with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be emailed to registered users.
